Summary
The Program for the Promotion of the Innovation Ecosystem for the Defense Industry (IN+DEF Program) was launched on March 30, 2026 by the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, with the objective of integrating SMEs, startups and the entire industrial ecosystem in the value chain of national defense, promoting the transfer of knowledge, the training of specialized talent and the development of dual-application technologies.
The IN+DEF Program is structured around three fundamental pillars: research and strategic foresight, through the Strategic and Industrial Foresight Center (CEPI); the training of managers and professionals of the sector, in charge of the School of Industrial Organization (EOI); and open innovation, as a lever of co-creation of disruptive solutions between startups, SMEs and large corporations of the defense sector, which will materialize through the celebration of hackathons in different locations of the national territory.
Prior to the launch of this call, it is necessary to identify the companies that will act as challengers, tractor companies, that express their willingness to participate actively in the IN+DEF Program, in particular in the open innovation initiatives that are articulated in its framework.

Deadline for submitting arguments from the day Thursday, July 9, 2026 until the day Saturday, July 18, 2026
Submission of allegations
The allegations may be sent to the email address: indef@mintur.es indicating in the subject: "Demonstration of Interest IN+DEF Program. Name of company/entity"
They must submit their expressions of interest to the Ministry of Industry and Tourism to the email and with the subject indicated, adding:
- Data: company, social reason, representative and contact data.
- Attaching to the mail the duly completed document of Manifestation of Interest.
The absence of any information required in the document of manifestation of interest or the non-fulfillment of the above requirements will imply the discarding of the same.
