Resumen

In accordance with the provisions of article 26.2 of Law 50/1997, of November 27, of the Government, the public consultation is carried out prior to the modification of annexes III and IV of Royal Decree 244/2016, of 3 June, by which Law 32/2014, of December 22, on Metrology is developed.

Background of the norm

The Royal Decree 244/2016, 3 June, was released on 7 June 2016. Since then, four years later, has been the need to amend Annexes III, identification of marked, tags and seals, and (IV, software legally relevant linked to the measurement in measurement instruments subjected to metrological control of the state, to adapt to new demands and changes that have emerged during these years.

Problems to be solved with the new standard

Adapt Annex IV to the requirements established at the European level regarding legally relevant software for instruments subject to State metrological control, as well as modify those aspects that have evolved due to the advancement of new technologies.

Annex III also needs a revision taking into account the changes that have occurred in the instruments that in some cases, due to their size, do not allow a label to be attached. On the other hand, sectors of activity have been incorporated for which no identification codes were foreseen.

Need and opportunity for approval

The needs that the modification of the royal decree intends to cover is its adaptation to new demands and needs.

Objectives of the norm

The objective of the modification of annexes III and IV of Royal Decree 244/2016, of June 3, is, that these annexes adapt to new requirements and technologies, as well as with the fields of activity that were not foreseen when published the Royal Decree.

Do not modify these annexes.
