The Strategy of Sustainable Mobility and intelligent, published by the european commission in 2020, demanded adjustments in the legislative framework on technical inspection of vehicles with the aim of ensuring that these meet standards for emissions and security over its useful life, to contribute, therefore, with the framework of road safety of the EU and to support the 2021-2030 objectives of the European Green.

The present proposal aims to further improving road safety in the eu, contributing to sustainable mobility and facilitating the free movement of persons and goods in the eu. Its main objectives are:

• To ensure coherence, objectivity and quality of technical inspections of vehicles both current and future, in particular ensuring the inspection of electric vehicles and electronic systems, including advanced driver assistance systems.
• Significantly reduce the handling and improve the detection of defective vehicles with regard to the systems of safety and control of emissions and odómetros.
• Improve the storage and electronic exchange of relevant information on the identification and the rule of vehicles between the member states.

Will only be considered responses in which the sender relates to state, in:

In order to identify aspects of the legislative proposal that are more for spain and encourage the participation of citizens and national sectors affected, to open a process of public participation for comments on the proposal for a directive which is attached as annex.
